Dear New Member,
IVAO-PT, Portuguese Division of IVAO has, as its main objective, the promotion of Virtual Flight, and of Virtual Air Traffic Control in an online simulated environment, using Flight Simulator and its technologies combined with extraordinary programs like IVAP and IVAC, as basic tools to, in an educational way, emulate in internet, the real world of Aviation. IVAO-PT proposes to train and qualify its members both Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers and to provide necessary material for everyone to perform their duties correctly.
We welcome all Virtual Aviation enthusiasts who want in a constructive way, to share with us moments of experiences of both real and simulated aviation, and to do it in a constructive way and binding to the universal rules of good conduct, good education and laws of aviation. The cooperation and inter-relation between fellow organizations and other institutions related to the world of simulated flight is one of the commandments of this division. Like in old times, with some of our Portuguese heroes of aeronautics Sacadura Cabral and Gago Coutinho.
IVAO-PT pretends, in a harmonious way, to navigate uniting this little great country that is Portugal to the rest of the world. Their legacy of courage, wisdom and determination in bringing people together are in this Division, although virtual, a reason for permanent remembering. Please, feel free to navigate on board of this site and above all Fly and Control a lot because in those times where men was using the stars and the sky to orientate, and later on the Sextant to navigate, believe us, was much more difficult...
